On September 11th, Sega will be releasing more downloadable content for Phantasy Star Portable.  This time there’s only one more mission for Story mode called Scrap Ghost.  Single player.

For any PSPortable junkies out there, Sega released new downloadable content today. There are two completely new missions (one in Story Mode and one in Multiplayer-Mode) and updated items at the weapons badge vendor. You can download them at the Official Phantasy Star Portable site.

Dreamcast Build of Shenmue III Found

A recent post on the official Sega Blog revealed that the company had found an old room filled with every game Sega had ever produced. One of the pictures posted is shown above and upon blowing up the picture it can be seen that there is a Dreamcast build of Shenmue III.

Dear Sega employees, please steal that disc and leak it onto the internet. Shenmue fans everywhere demand it. Well, either that or actually make Shenmue III and release it.

EA Reverse Engineered The Genesis For Development

You see, when the Genesis was a baby, Sega couldn’t pump out enough dev kits to meet demand. This says something about the difference in power that EA had then versus the juggernaut it has become now; can you imagine a console manufacturer stiffing EA on dev kits today? At any rate, EA wanted very much to be in the Genesis business, so someone “acquired” a dev kit from someone else. Where that dev kit came from, or how EA was able to borrow it for an extended amount of time… these details were left a little hazy in the telling of the story.
