Thanks for visiting!
Don’t have a Playstation 3 or just hate going through the process of using the PS3 to access the Japanese Playstation Network Store? Then boy have we got the guide for you. Follow the directions below and you’ll be up and running in no time.
One thing you will need is a Japanese PSN Card. Play-Asia sells many varieties at excellent prices so I suggest you pick from one of the many available below.
Once that has arrived in the mail (or you’ve sent an e-mail to info@playasia.com requesting the code by e-mail immediately) you can proceed!
For those of you who get the PSN card that is non-retail and just from a local Japanese Mini-Stop, here is how to identify the code:
It’s the red highlighted number
Go to the store:
http://store.playstation.com/
Select Japan as your region and click the button.
Click the button I’ve highlighted.
Set the date to any date that is 18 years ago or more and click the highlighted button.
Click the highlighted text.
Click the highlighted button.
Fill out the text box and click the highlighted button.
Enter a VALID e-mail address in the first slot, a password in the next two text boxes, and gibberish in the last box and click the highlighted button.
Head to your e-mail and click on the link highlighted.
When your browser opens up click on the only button on the screen.
Enter a username and click the highlighted button.
See the light red highlighted text boxes? Put a 3 digit number in the first and select the first option from the drop-down. Then click the highlighted button.
Click on the second option.
Click on the highlighted button.
Click on the highlighted button and you’re done!
Now time to login.
Head to the store: http://store.playstation.com/
Click on the highlighted text, fill out your login info, hit enter, and you’re in!
Now we need to redeem our PSN Card.
Click on your username, mine is highlighted above.
Click on the highlighted text.
Enter your code and click the highlighted button.
Confirm by clicking the highlighted button and you’re done!
Now you can go shopping for all those neat import PSP and PS1 titles you’ve always wanted!
