Indulge in a bit of irrelevant banter, and then roll out the critical low-down. Instead I’ve swaggered up to the podium, brazen as you like, and blurted out that this abysmal collection of tenuous, far, far-below-average mini-games is quite frankly the worst thing to enter my PS2’s drive since that raw-chicken and gin incident. You only have to check sites like metacritic to see that is is the Wii that is home to trash that makes lair look like bioshock!
Lair did suck but not as hard as a good 45% of cheap wii shovelware
It’s incredible some of the awful ideas people have for a game… I really think these days that the game developers don’t think enough about playability.

Actually Sonic and the Secret Rings wasn’t “awful”. It wasn’t amazing but it was pretty decent. Assassin’s Creed was also not perfect but FAR from awful. Neither of those games are anywhere NEAR as bad as the crap on this list.

Brunswick Bowling sucked compared to the Wii Sports game
There are plenty of terrible games out there, like everything that came out for the Wii except Zelda, Mario Galaxy and Metriod prime. The PS3 dosen’t have games i can rag on not saying i like the PS3 its just saying they don’t have games. The 360 got alot of terrible games, Bulletwitch awful, Shadowrun, Condemned,Two Worlds , MADDEN ( you name the year it was TERRIBLE),Guitar Hero sucks, every movie based game sucked esp. Spiderman 3 for the 360. But i must say for all the terrible games out there we do have a shit load of good ones to make up for it.
and Assassin’s Creed isn’t terrible it does have flaws in it but its is a decent game. People who tlk shit bout this game don’t hate the game just that it was made by a hot French-Canadian Chick. Don’t be mad that she beat you to the punch.
I agree with some of the other people commenting here. I think a worst of the more popular or what were to be more popular games list would be a ton better. I mean, seriously, who gives a shit about most of the games anyway. Never heard of most of them, probably never would have if it wasn’t for this list. Plus, that kind of list would have taken more thought and probably brought more engaging thoughts and conversation with it. Way to cop out.

Remember when Nintendo used to place their “seal of approval” on games for their systems? They should make a return to that stringent level of quality control (and don’t lie to me and say there are any NES games that AREN’T excellent!)
Shovelware is usually a sign of success for a console. A lot of people will put these failures on a “Wii as a gimmick” clause, but in reality, the most popular consoles attract the most garbage. For example, the PS2 is filled with trash games.
Combined with the Wii’s REASONABLE development costs compared to the PS3 or Xbox 360, there is the prominence of the trash. I compare this trash to the same sort of trash we are getting out of the Xbox Live arcade.
A better list would be to select bad games only from those with the biggest budgets. Lair would then be your top pick.

Ah, Lair wasn’t that bad. I’m surprised that Championship Sprint from the PS Store was by far the worst game I’ve ever wasted my time with.

with the exception of acme arsenel and chickenshoot…i think this list can also double for worst video game covers of the year.
Yeah, the only good thing about achme arsenal is the cover. Think ill steal it and put it on deviantart, on a dumb account i made just to piss ppl off! then ppl start arguing with me saying it is official art and junk, and ill say no it not it mine! Then the dumbshits (who dont even know they are getting fooled) post links to it, then report it! the best part? it does not even get taken down. lulz xD

I would have to agree that the games listed above really are bad … but I would put Looney Tunes Acme Asenal at number 1 as the worst … complete rubbish.
