Tales of Innocence DS Scores High, Gets High Price
11.28.07

Yes the second tales game might actually be good! Famitsu scores for the week were just released and ToI scored an incredibly high 35/40 (9 9 9 8). They usually only hand out scores this high for Square Enix properties, Nintendo brands, money hats, and well there are occasions where they do give out these scores to good games! It’s out December 6th in Japan and with no release in sight for the first Tales DS game this one won’t be translated any time soon either. If you’d like to be adventurous and import check out Play-Asia. That is if you’re prepared to pay the unheard of price of around $60 for a DS game.
Review translated key points from a poster at NeoGAF:
Tales of Innocence review.
* Polygon graphics came out really well.
* Can get drawn into the story
* Portions are a bit hard for newcomers to the series to understand
* Character customization is relatively free, and the breadth is enjoyable
* The characters themselves, whether enemy or ally, are enjoyable and make a big impact
* Battle gives you greater freedom of movement than before
* Lots of systems that can draw the player in is a good point
* May have been better with a bit more detailed explanations
Another NeoGAF poster shows that it also scores very high for the series:
